FOUNDER-JASON BORTE
Jason has taught surfing since 1992 and is a former pro champion. He is also a middle school teacher and author of The Kook's Guide to Surfing, the Kelly Slater bio Pipe Dreams as well as many surf magazine articles. He lives in Virginia Beach.
VA INSTRUCTOR-TYLER BOHN
In his fifth year with The Surf School, Tyler is among the most talented young surfers coming out of Virginia Beach.
VA/RI INSTRUCTOR-ALEX BURDETT
Alex was a Surf School student before joining our team in 2005. He is one of Virginia Beach's best surfers as well as a talented artist.
Rich is a high school teacher and football coach. He began surfing at age 12 and has traveled extensively. This is his third year as a camp manager.
